During the last week of June, VOA Director Amanda Bennett visited Bangladesh. The trip, planned as the Bangla service celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, took Bennett and her team to the Kutupalong Transit Center, the Rohingya Muslim refugee camp near the city of Cox’s Bazaar in the southeastern corner of the country. Bennett met with refugees, leaders, and government officials gaining valuable insights into the lives and needs of the camp’s residents.
