Jodi Reed serves as the VOA Chief of Staff. Since July 2019 she has supported multiple VOA Directors in the management of agency priorities, including the development and implementation of internal and external policy and strategic decisions. Her career began as a Production Assistant for WUSA-TV (formerly known as WDVM-TV). Her experience in the production of radio, television, digital products and program evaluation spans more than 30 years. Jodi served as a VOA Radio Producer and transitioned to Television Producer, later Executive Producer, for WORLDNET Television. She went on to perform program reviews as a Program Analyst for twenty years and later Team Leader for VOA Program Review. Throughout her career she served in various capacities and in multiple assignments including her work as Interim Executive Assistant in the Office of USAGM Director (formerly known as IBB); Interim Congressional Liaison, USAGM Public Affairs and Studio and Production Operations. A native Washingtonian and literally a VOA homegrown talent, Jodi dedicates her career to the VOA mission, programming excellence and to ensuring unfettered access to news and information globally. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Vassar College and Master of Science degree in Mass Communication from Boston University.
