Karen Larson is VOA’s Managing Director. In this role she heads the teams responsible VOA’s Resources Management and Personal Services Contractor program among other duties. She joined the agency as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2005, and has since worked in the CFO’s Office, the Office of Congressional Affairs, and the Office of Policy and Research. Prior to joining the agency, Karen worked in documentary film for several independent film makers and also for PBS Frontline and National Geographic. She also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Romania before earning her Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University.
