VOA Persian has announced its expansion and rebranding of primetime newscasts, providing viewers in Iran with even more comprehensive coverage of the most current Iranian, American and global headlines, up-to-the-minute news, analysis and interviews.
Starting this week, VOA viewers in Iran can now enjoy a full hour of news at 9:00 p.m. Tehran time with the "News Hour" newscast, delivering in-depth reporting, engaging stories, and the latest updates from the United States, Iran and around the world. Two other 30-minute newscasts, “Early News” and “Late-Night News,” will retain their 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. time slots, respectively.
This rebrand includes new on-screen motion graphics, new sound and a new studio look to reflect the added depth and timeliness of VOA's Persian's news products.
"Our data-driven approach to programming reflects the fact that our three newscasts remain VOA Persian's most-watched broadcast products," said VOA Persian Division Director Leili Soltani. "I am confident that the expansion and the new look of our flagship news products will further extend the audience reach and impact of our broadcasts into Iran."
With a 24/7 satellite TV channel, multimedia website, five social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Telegram) and a measured weekly audience of 15.7 percent Iranian adults, Voice of America is one of the leading international Persian-language broadcasters that provides trusted and objective news and information to the people of Iran.
