With three powerful operatic voices, the young Italian trio known as Il Volo has amazed audiences around the world, attracting people of all generations. The trio recently sat down with Larry London on Border Crossings to discuss their busy lives and share some of the music from their Christmas album, Buon Natale.
The three started out as individual solo artists, but after four years together, they have reached a new level of success, selling millions of recordings, touring with Barbara Streisand and recording a Christmas Special for PBS.
They describe their music as a mixture of classical and pop, and with the ability to sing in their native Italian as well as English, Il Volo blends masterful vocals with passionate storytelling.
The trio performed several songs off their new recording, including O Holy Night, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and Christmas Medley.
The interviewed ended with a sweet Christmas message from the boys: “love your families, and we want to say to all parents - support your kids to follow their dreams because now we are living our dreams thanks to our parents, and enjoy Christmas with our new album.” Check out their interview as the Christmas Special on Border Crossings TV.
