Iraq Study Group Report and Reaction on 'Talk to America'

At the urging of Congress, the bipartisan Iraq Study Group was formed to conduct a forward-looking, independent assessment of the current and prospective situation on the ground in Iraq, its impact on the surrounding region, and consequences for US interests. The report was released Wednesday, 6 December. On Thursday, we’ll look at the report, its recommendations, and implications with our guests: P.J. Crowley, Director of National Defense and Homeland Security at the Center for American Progress; Louay Bahry, Adjunct Scholar at the Middle East Institute; William Quandt, Professor in the Woodrow Wilson Department of Politics at the University of Virginia; Ruhi Ramazani, Professor Emeritus of Government and Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia; and Nora Bensahel, Senior Political Scientist at the RAND Corporation.
