Carly Rae Jepsen rocketed to fame with her single, Call Me Maybe. The video’s had more than 400 million views on YouTube since its release in 2011.

When she sat down recently with Larry London, she credited a tweet from Justin Bieber for kickstarting her career.

“With that one simple tweet all of a sudden fans in Germany, Japan, and places I had yet to visited, knew my name and were listening to my song” Carly Rae told Larry, who caught up with her recently at a private DC event for former President Clinton’s Foundation, where she was scheduled to perform.

The pop star just wrapped up a tour with Justin Bieber, but is heading back out soon for her own worldwide tour, with performances in countries including Japan and Indonesia.

During the Border Crossings interview, the multi-talented singer pointed out that with everything she is able to undertake in this business, she enjoys songwriting the most.
